Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) Training

Only 16 percent of American high school seniors are proficient in mathematics and interested in a STEM career.

STEM schools can help young people gain the skills necessary to succeed in these fields. Over the next decade alone, the U.S. must produce approximately 1 million more STEM-degree graduates than currently projected to meet the demands of the economy, according to a 2012 report by the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

Greater Emphasis on STEM in Schools
Recognizing this gap, educators have focused on getting more students hooked on math and science earlier in their school careers, which is why more STEM programs are being launched nationwide.

“At all levels of educational attainment, STEM job holders earn 11 percent higher wages compared with their same-degree counterparts in other jobs.”

Levil Technology is dedicated to the design and production of tabletop CNC machines that have a broad array of users across many industries. Unlike many tabletops out there, our machines are able to reach incredible precision and high speeds thanks to our servo controlled technology. Not only are they capable of machining, but they can also digitize, change and measure tools automatically, perform CAN cycle and much more using a simple to use Windows-based software or industry has proven FANUC control.

PITSCO Education STEM Units, Missions, and Expeditions

DC Jaeger is proud to supply the PITSCO Education STEM units for grades K-9. Their K-2 Elementary STEM Units are designed to supplement core learning programs with inspiring, hands-on titles that are two to four weeks in duration.

Their Grades 3-5 STREAM Missions program is built on elementary instructional best practices that pair core science instruction with reading, art, engineering, and math application.

Their Grades 6-9 STEM and Career Expeditions programs create learning opportunities that build the collaboration and problem-solving skills needed for a lifetime of learning and working. With Expeditions, students are immersed in a collaborative experience, seeking to answer an Essential Question through hands on discovery and experimentation.

Whole-class, hands-on STEM Units enable middle school and high school students to make connections among the four areas of STEM learning. Each two-, three-, or four-week unit incorporates science, technology, engineering, and math concepts into the activities.

Designed to be flexible, the STEM Units can be incorporated in support of existing curriculum or as an entire course on their own. They fit into existing labs or classrooms and are easy for teachers to use and store.
